Putting things in perspective
No matter if the person in the military if your spouse, your brother, boyfriend, sister or girlfriend,
a gift that has a military emblem and or a military meaning is surely going to be a great surprise.
If you were in the military yourself, then you know how much training is required; and if you don’t,
then, take a look at some of old or recent military-focused movies, and you’ll see that the military
life isn’t the type of life for the faint of heart. Strength, will power, discipline and determination is
needed in order to make it in the military. As you know that, you realize that a military gift if going
to be much appreciated. But the question is, what to buy?

Planning is the key
First of all, it depends whether the person just entered the military or has been in the military for some
time. Let’s take a look at both situations.

If the person you’re planning to get a military gift just graduated and starts in this new life, then you could
go for something that’s simple, but represents a lot for that person. Cheap and good ideas are T-shirts that
have a simple, yet meaningful message for that person, alongside a specific military emblem. If you don’t
know which emblem is which, don’t worry. Just use the military branch or crest and have it printed on the
T-shirt (you can easily find those online). Other gift ideas are military rings, pen sets or plaques. Even a flag
with the person’s military branch or crest on it is going to be a much appreciated gift.

On the other hand, if the person has been in the military for some time, or is a military veteran, a very nice
gift can be a watch that’s personalized with a military emblem, or the person’s grade, name and unit/branch
logo. Naturally, something that’s personalized and has the loved one’s name is going to be more meaningful
and make it even more special.

Getting that military gift
There are lots of options when it comes to buying what you have in mind. However, one of the easiest one is
the online. This because you have access to countless products, and you can have them delivered right on
your door step in a couple of days – it’s that easy! Some shops even personalize the gifts (for an extra fee,
normally) so you can be sure that your military gift will surely make a strong impact on your loved one.

A custom military ring is one piece of jewelry that means a great deal to the wearer. It’s a symbol of their commitment, dedication, and sacrifice. Many are passed on down through the generations, along with stories of heroism, courage, and heartbreak. Ordering a custom military ring is fairly simple, but there are few things you’ll need to consider.

There are many different ways that you can order a custom military ring. Some jewelry stores offer this service. If you are in a military academy, you will receive literature on how to order your customized military graduation ring. However, you can also order from a number of different sites online. You do want to use a bit of caution to ensure that you’re ordering from a reputable company. You’ll find several reviews that you can browse through to find about the quality of the rings and the customer service.

You will want to determine which type of precious metal you want the ring made out of. Gold, silver, and valedium are popular choices. Some are made from gold or silver plated materials, too. Valedium is a silver toned metal that is very strong and durable. This is a good choice for those who want to wear their ring every day. Most military members make the choice between gold and silver based upon their dress uniform. For example, an Air Force member will usually go with silver, while an Army member will generally go with gold.

The style of the ring is also important to a custom military ring. The signet ring style is the most common. This is a classic, traditional style of ring that was favored by many of the great military leaders in history. The top of the ring doesn’t feature a stone, but instead has a raised crest of the military branch the member serves in. The sides of the ring can be left plain or have engravings of other symbols and insignias. The inside of the ring – of any custom military ring – can be engraved with a short personal message, initials, or an important date.

The symbols, insignia, and emblems on the sides of a custom military ring are really where your creativity comes into play. There are dozens of these symbols available. Some are unit insignias. Others pertain to a specific military campaign. There are also those that represent a specific type of aircraft or vessel that the military member operates or supports. There are flags, dates, slogans, and just about anything else you might imagine that can be used on the sides of the ring to make it completely personalized for you.

Sizing is important, too, so it’s best if you can stop into a jewelry store and make sure you know your ring size without guessing. Also, be sure to check out the warranty information. Some companies will replace or repair a ring if it is damaged. If you have any questions when placing your order online, make sure you give the company a call to ensure there are no mix-ups in your custom military ring order.

There are few people that aren’t impressed by a United States Marine. The intense physical and mental training are something that many people could not begin to complete. Marine men and women are strong, honorable, dedicated. One of the ways that a Marine lets the world know that they are a part of this impressive military branch is with USMC rings.

The military ring has a long history and USMC rings are no different. Most will have the famous Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem of the Marine Corps. Some will showcase a specific regiment or battalion. Others feature emblems and insignia that show a Marine’s service during a particular war or military operation. Finally, some Marines will use the design as a reminder of a military decoration or combat metal that the member has been awarded.

USMC rings are available in yellow or white gold and sterling silver. Some are also available in valedium, which is a silver toned metal that resists scratches or other damage. There are several designs available, including a signet or seal ring, one that resembles a high school class ring, and one that has nothing but an engraving on the top. Sometimes, the simplest designs are the most elegant.

The choice of stone in the top of USMC rings is usually the wearer’s birthstone, but it doesn’t have to be. Perhaps there is another date that the Marine would like to remember, such as their enlistment date or when they graduated the academy. These stones are beautifully cut to reflect the light perfectly.

The sides of USMC rings can feature insignias, emblems, or other symbols. Some choose to have an emblem that represents the unit they are attached to, while others want a symbol of a military campaign, a piece of military equipment, or a special phrase. One of the nice things about these military rings is that they are completely customizable to the Marine’s wishes.

The inside of the ring can be engraved, as well. Initials, short phrases, or a date are the most common ways to personalize this area of the ring. It also makes the ring easy to identify if it is ever lost or stolen. This engraving also serves as a wonderful reminder of the Marine’s service as the ring is passed down from generation to generation. Some Marines even donate their rings to be melted down into another Marine ring for a son, daughter, or grandchild. This keeps a piece of history with the new Marine at all times.

In closing, USMC rings are a terrific way to showcase a Marine’s service to his or her country. Each can be uniquely different and showcase the Marine’s career. If you’re looking for a fantastic gift for your Marine, consider giving one of the many styles of USMC rings as a gift. It’s sure to put a smile on their face – no matter how stoic they might look! Let this ring be a reminder of a Marine’s love for this country.

Choosing a gift can be difficult, depending on the recipient and the occasion. Personalized gifts are always best, as this lets the recipient know that you put a lot of time and effort into choosing the perfect gift. When searching for such a gift for a military member or a former military member, you’ll find that there are many personalized military gifts available. Some are very elegant and formal, while others are fun and festive.

Military gifts for veterans can include those that highlight a specific military campaign or operation, such as Vietnam, Desert Storm, or Endearing Freedom. Consider a hat, t-shirt, or jacket with the operation’s insignia on it. A plaque with the insignia, along with the recipient’s name, grade, and date of service is a also a great gift. Perhaps your friend or loved one would like a pocket watch with the military branch emblem engraved on the outside and the recipient’s unit insignia on the face of the watch on the inside.

Military gifts of jewelry are very popular, especially those that are personalized. For example, a military ring is one of the best ways to recognize service and commitment. You can choose from dozens of symbols and emblems on the sides of the ring, as well as a number of different semi-precious stones on the top. Engrave the inside of the band with your own special message for the recipient. It might be a date, initials, or just something only the two of you would understand. This is also a great way to ensure the ring is identified should the ring ever become lost or stolen.

Other military jewelry pieces include pendants, bracelets, and earrings. You’ll even find military belly button rings, tie tacks, and toe rings. The selection of military jewelry is much more expansive than it once was and it’s a great way for someone to show their individuality in a patriotic way.

Some military gifts are put together at home. Care packages for those deployed overseas are a great choice. Simply fill a box with personal hygiene items, favorite snacks, books, magazines, or other things that your loved one may not be able to find where they are currently deployed. Remember that some items, such as alcohol may not be allowed and it often takes weeks for the recipient to receive such a package. If you have questions, you should be able to find the answers you need at your local post office.

In closing, military gifts are a great way to show how much you respect your military loved one. Their service, sacrifice, and dedication are what keep this country strong and safe. Military members give up a lot to serve and it can be difficult on those members, as well as those who are left behind. Military gifts are sure to bring a smile to their face and be a great reminder of why they need to stay safe and come home as soon as possible!.

There are many specialized units in the United States military. While most people can name a half a dozen or so even if they haven’t served in the military, there are actually hundreds of these specialized units. The Navy Seals, the Army’s 82nd Airborne, the Marine Snipers, and the Air Force Paratroopers are well known specialized units. Many of these units are so specialized that seventy to eighty percent of all who start the training do not finish. It really takes a unique person to be a part of such a close knit group of military members. Recognizing this service, dedication, and sacrifice is something that isn’t taken lightly. For those that serve in these units, U. S. military rings are the perfect way to do just that.

U.S. military rings have a long, proud history. The first rings were given to graduates of the United States Military Academy in 1835. Since that time virtually every military academy graduate has had a ring symbolizing their hard work and dedication. Most of the rings are ordered during the second or third year and the class spends a great deal of time working on the perfect design. However, military rings are not just for graduations or even graduations from specialized training.

Many military members order their military ring to recognize other important achievements in their careers. This might include a promotion, retirement, or a deployment on a military campaign. Specialized units are often the first ones into a conflict and they deserve recognition for these dangerous missions. One of the most important aspects to U.S. military rings are the emblems and insignia that decorate the sides of the ring or underneath the stone on top. Many will design their ring with the branch emblem on the top and the unit insignia on one side. The other side is often used to recognize a specific type of aircraft, ship, or submarine on the other. It might also have the insignia of a military campaign, such as Operation Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom.

Some of the units in the military are so highly specialized that they are considered ‘top secret.’ Many of these units have a specific way that their presence in this unit is identified, but the unit member will know what is and isn’t allowed on a ring. If you are ordering the ring as a gift, you might want to speak with your loved one about what they want on the ring. It might ruin the surprise, but you want to make sure it’s a design that they will love.

In closing, there are many styles and designs of U.S. military rings. From active duty to veterans to retirees, there is no better gift to recognize one’s service in this very honorable profession. Ordering the ring is easy online and you can have it shipped almost anywhere in the world. U.S. military rings are part of the history of the Armed Forces. What a terrific way to add your own piece of military history to your family’s own past, present, and future.

Military service rings are a great way to show your pride and honor in what you do. It’s because of this country’s military members that our country stays strong, secure, and safe. If you have a loved that serves or has served in one of the branches of the United States military, then know that there is no finer gift than military service rings. Not only will these rings showcase the member’s military career, but it can also become a treasure passed onto future generations.

Military service rings can be ordered online and it doesn’t take much time at all. You will need to consider a few things before ordering though, such as the type of precious metal you want the ring made from, the emblems or insignia you want engraved, and if you want a semi-precious stone on the top. All of these decisions will ensure that the ring you order is personalized specifically for the wearer. There will always be a bit of history in the ring, too.

You will have a choice of several semi-precious stones and many choose their birthstone for the top of the ring. There can be an engraving added under the stone, which adds a great deal of depth to the ring’s design. Consider the precious metal that will be used for the ring when choosing your stone, too. There are some of the stones that look better with gold than silver and vice versa.

Be sure you order the right size. While you may think that this goes without saying, it’s best to use whatever ring sizer is offered on the website you’re ordering on. You simply print and cut the sizer out and you’ll know that you’re ordering the right size.

Now, you’ll move onto the most important part of ring’s design – the personalization. You will have your choice of over one hundred emblems, symbols, and insignias. Consider using the crest for the branch of service on the top of the ring, either under or without a precious stone. A unit or division insignia is a great choice for one side of the ring. The other might feature an aircraft or ship that the military member is assigned to. Perhaps a special date or initials would be a great choice or an insignia for a specific military campaign. This is obviously what will set this ring apart from other military service rings.

Don’t forget to include the engraved message on the inside of the band. It will have to be short and to the point or you can use a date or initials. The best part about this specific personalization is that it will allow you to easily identify the ring if it is ever lost or stolen.

In closing, military service rings are a great choice for recognizing your loved one’s service in the Armed Forces. There are so many styles and options available for the design, too. Show your support for all these men and women do with a personalized military ring.

Military rings are not new. Long before the modern world, military rings had a history seeped in tradition. Early Romans and Greeks wore rings as a sign of military prowess and it was considered a great honor to be awarded this piece of jewelry. What has changed over time is the design and materials used to create such a ring. Today, you’ll find gold, silver, and valedium rings that are strikingly beautiful. Semi-precious stones can be inset on top of the rings and engravings down the sides ensure that personalization is the primary goal.

All branches of the United States Armed Forces have military rings. Some are worn only upon graduation from one of the military academies. Others are used to commemorate a specific deployment or operation. You will also find many military members who wear a ring designed to simply showcase their military careers. Ordering military rings is very simply and can be done online in just a few minutes. In addition, you will find that you can have these rings shipped almost anywhere in the world. This makes a ring a great gift idea for those who are stationed overseas.

Military rings are available in three different styles. The most popular resembles a high school or college class ring. Usually made from silver or gold, it also has the semi-precious stone in the top. Most people choose to use their birthstone in this type of ring, although any date or event can be commemorated. The sides of the ring feature beautiful engraving and the sky is the limit on what might be featured here. Branch emblems, unit insignias, aircraft, ships, or military operation symbols have all been used to create a ring that is unique to the wearer.

The second style of ring is more traditional. It is a signet ring and its clean, elegant lines make this a great choice to wear with the military dress uniform. The top of the ring usually has a branch crest of unit insignia and it may be engraved or raised. In some cases, this area of the ring is also colored, which makes it even more beautiful. The sides of the ring are bare, adding to the simplicity. However, the third style of ring features a the same top, but also has engravings on the sides.

One of the features of military rings that is much appreciated is the engraving on the inside the band. This area can contain a short message, the owner’s initials, or a special date. Not only is this personalization a nice attribute of the ring, it also makes it is much easier to identify the ring if it is ever lost or stolen.

In closing, if you’re looking for the perfect gift for your loved one or if you want to commemorate a special time in your military career, then military rings are a terrific choice. Because of the personalization that these rings allow, it’s easy to create a special memento of your time in the military.

However, there are also other conflicts that have impacted our veteran’s just as much, such as Vietnam, Korea, and Bosnia.

You have several choices in the style of military rings for men. Some men really prefer the classic lines of a signet ring. This style of ring usually has an engraved or raised branch seal on the top. The sides can have emblems or insignia engraved in, but some men prefer the sides with nothing. Another popular style of men’s military ring is one that resembles a high school or college class ring. It is heavily engraved on the sides and the top will have a semi-precious stone. The stone can feature an engraving underneath it, which is a nice added touch. Some men prefer the stone to be one that resonates with the branch of service they are in, while others would like their birthstone.

There are dozens of insignia and emblems available for engraving on military rings for men. Some are for a specific unit, division, or battalion, such as the 101st Airborne, the Navy Seals, Air Force Paratroopers, or the Marine Snipers. Others symbols are for specific aircraft, ships, or equipment that a military member may work on. You might also want to consider a flag, an important date, or a weapon. These are the things that make each ring unique.

The inside of military rings for men can be engraved with a short message or the military member’s initials. It’s a good idea to put something inside the band, as this makes it very easy to determine the owner if the ring is lost or stolen. When you’re ordering a ring that has this level of personalization, it’s best to place your order online instead of over the phone. This will alleviate the chances of the personalization being engraved wrong.

There are a number of military class rings available today. Some are for graduations from a military academy, such as the U.S. Naval Academy, West Point, or the Air Force Academy. These military class rings are a symbol of discipline, honor, and achievement. These are four year colleges that are much more than just a classroom learning experience. These four years are spent honing military skills and learning a variety of subject matters. It’s not easy, by any means and there are many who do not make it through. However, for those that do, military class rings are a great way to show how proud you are of your friend or loved one.

Some of the military academies require that military class rings meet specific criteria. For example, the Naval Academy official class rings are the result of a yearlong design process. No one can wear these particular rings except for those privileged to be part of that year’s class. If you’re looking to order an office military class ring, you may want to make sure that your loved one hasn’t already placed an order for the ring. Many times, the brochures and other paperwork are distributed during the second year of the academy.

If you find out that you do want to place an order for one of the many styles of military class rings, then you should spend some time on the internet. Not only will you get a better feel of what types of rings are available, you can compare pricing and warranties. The warranty is very important. Some manufacturers of military class rings will replace a damaged, lost, or stolen ring. Others will melt down a damaged ring and use it to recreate a new one. Many times, an antique military ring that belonged to a relative is melted down and used to create a new ring. This is a great idea if the military member comes from a long line of veterans.

You will find that there are rings that you can custom order and there are rings that are generic. The latter are much less expensive, but most people would rather have one of the military class rings that is specifically designed for them. Don’t just limit the class rings to an academy, either. There are many rings for those who graduate from basic training or a specialized school. Some military members and their friends decide that they all want similar rings to keep their bond of friendship strong. You’ll find that military class rings are one of the most popular of all the military rings available today.

In closing, there is no other gift quite like a military class ring. It’s a symbol of military service that is worn with pride and honor. For those that serve, the military ring is a reminder of their service, sacrifice, and commitment. For those that give a military ring, it shows the recipient how much you value their service to this country.

There is no doubt that the United States Marine Corps is made up of some of the most dedicated individuals. These are proud men and women who understand the meaning of honor and sacrifice. Marines are a special breed and they know it. One of the best ways to recognize a Marine’s service is with one of the many styles of Marine Corps rings. This symbol of their service will no doubt be treasured for generations as family members remember their loved one’s service.

Since the inception of the Marines, there are few conflicts that the Marines haven’t played an active role in. The United States Marines were often responsible for the overall success of past military campaigns. As you probably already know, one of the slogans so familiar with this branch of the Armed Forces is “once a Marine, always a Marine,” and that clearly is the case. Many members of this elite military branch invest in Marine Corps rings as symbol of their commitment to their country and to other Marines.

If you’re considering buying a Marine Corp ring for yourself or for a loved one, there are a few things to consider. Many of the rings available today are crafted from beautiful precious metals. Gold and silver are very popular, but so are other metals, such as validium. The latter is a somewhat stronger, silver-toned metal that is a great choice for Marines that will wear their rings on a daily basis. It’s more resistant to scratches than the softer gold and silver metals are.

There are several styles of Marine Corps rings available, as well. The most popular is the classic signet ring. The Marine Corp seal is on the top and may be engraved or raised. The sides may also be engraved with various emblems and insignias, but many Maraines prefer the clean, elegant look of a ring with nothing on the sides. There are also marine Corp rings available that have a semi-precious stone set in the top. These rings look a traditional class ring and there are dozens of emblems and insignia that can be placed under the stone or down the sides.

It’s easier than ever to order Marine Corps rings today. You can do all the research right online and then place your order. Most of the custom made rings take between two and four weeks to be shipped, so it’s important to remember that if the ring will be a gift to a friend or loved one. You will also need to know what size of ring your loved one wears. Most rings can be resized, but who really wants to go through the trouble?

In closing, if you would like to recognize someone’s service in the Marines, then a beautiful Marine ring is the perfect gift. You can even have the inside of the band engraved with a short message or the recipient’s initials. Marine Corps rings are a fantastic way to show someone how much you appreciate their service and sacrifice that makes a Marine, a Marine.

Did a family member serve in the United States military? Perhaps you have one of their military rings as a heirloom. Classic military rings are often considered a family treasure, as they are part of the family’s history. Many of today’s military members prefer the classic look for their own military rings and it’s not as difficult as you might think to find one that is just perfect.

The first military rings date back to the early Roman and Egyptian empires. During that time, rings were a symbol of military honor and only one was worn. Eventually, the rings became a symbol of societal status. By the Middle Ages, military rings were popular throughout Europe and were often used as seals for various legal documents. In the United States, the first military rings were given to graduates of the United States Military Academy in 1835. Since that time, the military ring has become a tradition for all military academies, but also for those that graduate from basic training. In addition, military rings are often given as gifts to recognize one’s accomplishments within the military, such as participation in a specialize unit or in a particular military campaign.

Classic military rings are generally considered signet rings .This style is very elegant and formal. The top of the ring usually has the seal for the branch of the military that the member serves in. The seal may be engraved or raised, although the raised seals are a bit easier to keep clean. The sides of the ring may have nothing or there may be insignias or emblems engraved. The classic military rings generally have nothing on the sides. These rings are made from gold, silver, or validium. Usually, each branch has a specific color of precious metal that is preferred, such as silver for the United States Air Force. However, it just depends on the recipient’s preferences.

Ordering classic military rings is very simple, as you can place an order online. You will also have the option of personalizing the inside of the band with a short message or the recipient’s initials. You can have the ring shipped almost anywhere in the world, which is a great option if your loved one is serving overseas on one of today’s many deployments. It usually takes two or three weeks for the ring to ship, so keep that in mind when you place your order.

Another thing to consider is using an antique class ring for part of the new ring. Many ring designers can melt down an older ring and make the new ring out of it. This is a great tribute to a family member and will ensure that the two rings are together to carry on the tradition. Some veterans donate their rings to the military academy they attended to be melted down and used for a new set of class rings.

In closing, classic military rings will never go out of style. It’s part of the military tradition. It’s a great way to show your loved one how proud you are of their service and sacrifice.

The history of military signet rings dates back at least to the Augustan period in Rome. The Romans probably got it from the Spartan warriors. Most of the Roman signet rings reflect Egyptian, Etruscan, Greek, and Oriental influences. A sign of honor, signet rings were often massive, making it difficult to wear them. Rings denoted one’s social standing. It was considered a privilege to wear a signet ring, but it was often reserved for those who served with distinction in the military. Eventually, this type of ring would be bestowed more freely, but still was a mark of dignity and often used as an important seal.

Roman custom was to remove a ring from the finger of those who had died, but there was also a bit of superstition surrounding signet rings, too. For example, if the ring was removed, then there was a chance of bad luck and tidings. The custom was to only wear one ring, but as the popularity of signet rings grew, so did the number of rings that were worn. Crassus, a powerful Roman politician wore two rings. Horace, a Roman satirist and poet, wore three rings. This provoked much debated at first, as altering custom was usually not taken very well in the Roman society.

The shape and size of signet rings could vary. The top of the ring could be raised, cusped, or ridged. More elaborate versions, with filigree and fretwork would become popular. Circular and octagonal rings were done in solid metal. Sometimes, the shank of the ring would have precious or semi-precious stones. Romans used mostly emeralds, sapphires, or garnets, but diamonds and amethysts were reserved for the most noble and prominent of men.

Signet rings were used to validate serious legal documents in Roman times. Cicero and Pliny both state that signet rings were eventually worn on the little finger. It served as a man’s signature. Julius Caesar wore one with Venus on it. Augustus has several signet rings featuring a sphinx, the image of Alexander the Great, and finally one with his own image.

Through the following centuries, the signet ring would once again become a sign of military strength, finding its way throughout the rest of Europe, to Asia, and eventually to the United States. Military signet rings in the United States would feature the seal of the branch of military that the person served in. It would be handmade, with a raised seal and quite exceptional.

Today, the military signet ring still stands for honor, duty, and pride. The styles of signet rings vary, as do the precious metals used to create them. The sides of the signet ring are often engraved with military images or emblems. The inside of the band can be engraved with a short message, initials, or an important date.

These military signet rings can be ordered online and shipped just about anywhere in the world. Each ring is custom made by some of the finest craftsmen in the world. If you want to show your appreciation for a loved one’s service, then consider giving a military signet ring. It’s sure to become an honored treasure.

Much of the history of man is marked by battles and wars. It’s what has created the differences in societies, as well as defined a nation’s strengths and weaknesses. Antique military rings are a symbol of the service of men and women who have fought for their country and what they believe in. The people who have fought so bravely sometimes leave a legacy behind and that is an antique military ring.

Even the most experienced soldier wants to have a memento of their time in the military. Some wore their military rings every day, while others saved it for special occasions. Many of the antique military rings feature emblems of specific battles or campaigns. Other rings have the branch emblem on the top. These rings become a reminder of the dedication, sacrifice, and service by military men and women.

Antique military rings are often passed down to future generations. Some end up in museums across the country. However, those rings that are representative of the last couple of wars are generally kept by families as a reminder of their loved one’s service. All branches of the Armed Forces have rings to commemorate service. Most servicemen and women want to incorporate a part of their specific job into their rings. This is done with insignias and emblems down the sides of the ring or under a semi-precious stone on top. All of the branches of the Armed Forces have specific logos for specialized units. In addition, many of the rings will feature an aircraft, helicopter, or ship that the military member was assigned to.

You can also order antique military rings online. There is a special process for making jewelry look as though it came from another time and this is a very popular style for military rings. You simply add the “antiquing” feature to your ring order.

There is also quite a market for collectors of antique military rings. Some rings will bring hundreds of dollars for the seller. It’s a piece of history that will always be popular with collectors, due in part to the uniqueness of each ring. While there are some commercial lines of military rings available, most of the other rings are custom made. Not only does this showcase the military member’s career, but it also highlights some fantastic craftsmanship.

If you have an antique military ring in your possession, there is another possibility to consider. Some people want to use an antique ring to make a new version. The old ring is melted down and redone into a new style. This is a beautiful way to keep a piece of your family’s history with the solider, sailor, Marine, or airman. Some families choose to melt down each ring another loved one joins the military, keeping part of their family’s heritage in the rings for decades to come.

In closing, antique military rings signify a great piece of our country’s military history and to pass onto your children and grandchildren.

Custom military rings have been a tradition in the military for over 200 years. The first military rings were given to graduates of the United States Military Academy in 1835. Since that time, almost every graduate of one of the military academies was awarded such a ring and it’s a symbol of great honor and achievement. However, you don’t have to graduate from a military academy to enjoy such a beautiful piece of jewelry. Many of these rings are given as gifts for promotions, retirements, birthdays, and Christmas. If you want to order custom military rings, though, there are few things you should know.

You can place an order online quite easily. There are several decisions that you will have to make. The first is the style of custom military rings that you want. There is the traditional signet style, with the military branch emblem on the top. Another style resembles a class ring, with a stone on the top and emblems on the side of the ring. There is also a style that has a stone on the top, but the sides of the ring are bare.

When ordering custom military rings, it’s important to determine when the ring will be worn the most. If it will be worn only special occasions, then gold or silver is a great choice. However, if the ring will be worn every day, validium will be better choice, as it’s a harder precious metal and will resist scratches better.

The emblems are one of the most important parts of custom military rings. It is what defines the military member, such as the branch of service, the unit they serve in, the date they enlisted, or an aircraft or ship they work on. If you are ordering this ring as a gift, make sure you know exactly what types of emblems will be important to the recipient. You don’t want to give a ring that has a unit emblem on it that your loved one isn’t part of.

Custom military rings are handmade, so it takes a bit to create these gorgeous pieces of jewelry. Allow at least three weeks before the rings ships, unless the website says otherwise. Most companies allow you to ship the rings to almost anywhere in the world. In addition, most custom military rings also come with a warranty, so be sure to check that out, as well.

Custom military rings are a great way to show your support and appreciation for what our military members do every day. Without this country’s military, our country would not enjoy the freedoms that we do. When you give the gift of a custom military ring, you’re providing a timeless reminder of a loved one’s service. These rings will become treasured family heirlooms, passed down to children and grandchildren.

In closing, when ordering your custom military rings, the above tips will help you give a gift that your military service man or woman is sure to love.

Sometimes, it can be difficult to find military gifts for servicewomen that are strong but still feminine. Obviously, the military is dominated by men and there are more gifts and gift ideas available for men than there are for women. However, if you are looking for the perfect gift for the military woman in your lift, there are a number of military rings that may be just perfect.

Military rings for women are generally smaller, but have the same beautiful styles and designs available. Some are rather simple, but others can be quite complex and. There are also some military rings for women that you may not have considered, such as belly button rings. Just because a woman is in the military doesn’t mean she might not like a military belly button ring!

Think about the type of rings that your lady friend or family member wears on a regular basis. This will give you a good idea of what style of ring she would like. Many women like a style that resembles a class ring. The semi-precious stone on top might correspond to her birthday or it may just be a stone that she favors. The precious metal the ring is made of can be gold, silver, or validium. The latter is a silver-toned metal that is stronger and more resistant to scratches than gold or silver. It’s a good choice for a woman who will wear the ring on a daily bases.

The emblems and insignia that may be engraved on these rings are what truly make them special. There are dozens of symbols to choose from and you can have them engraved on the sides of the ring or even underneath the stone. Some popular choices include the emblem of the military branch she is serving in, the American flag, or a plane, helicopter, or ship that she works on. There are also various emblems for special deployments or military operations.

The inside of the band can be easily personalized with the woman’s initials, a special date, or a short message. Not only does this make the ring very unique, it’s a great identifier if the ring is ever lost or stolen. Most companies that sell military rings for women offer this personalization option.

Ordering online is very easy and will only take a few minutes of your time. Since most of the nicer military rings are custom orders, you can expect the ring in two to three weeks. While most people prefer to give this gift in person, you can also have it shipped to just about anywhere in the world. Imagine her surprise when she opens that gift box!

In closing, military rings for women are a beautiful way to recognize her service, sacrifice, and commitment to helping protect this great country. With the various options in styling, personalization, and materials, she will have a ring that is truly perfect for her. It is because of this that our soldiers, airmen, sailors, and Marines deserve to be recognized for their service.

A great way to recognize the service of a family member or friend is with customized military rings. There is a long history of these rings in the Armed Forces, with many given for graduation from a military academy or basic training. In 1835, the first military rings were given to men who graduated from the United States Military Academy. It was a simple design, but you can bet that those men were just as proud of those rings as military members are of theirs today. If you are considering giving one of the many styles of customized military rings as a gift for your loved one, then here are three tips to help ensure that it’s perfect in every way.

First, look at several different styles of customized military rings before making your final decision on the kinds you want to order. This is because the styles can vary so much. Some are very elaborate, while others are quite simple. The style of the ring is one of the most important choices you will make. Think about the kinds of jewelry that your loved wears. Is it simple and understated or is it classical and elegant? There are beautiful signet style rings to those that resemble a high school class ring, so you’re sure to find one that is just perfect.

Secondly, make sure the ring is sized correctly. This can be difficult if your loved one is deployed or stationed overseas. If you’re giving the ring as a gift, you want it to be a surprise, but you also want it to fit correctly. There are a couple of ways that you can find out your loved one’s ring size if you don’t know it. You can always ask directly or ask someone else who is close to them. There are ring sizers that you can print out from the internet, cut out, and use to gauge the size correctly. If you want the customized military ring to be a surprise, then order the size you believe is closest. However, the ring will probably needed to be resized, which will cause a delay in the member being about to wear it.

Finally, make the ring truly personalized. With all of the emblems and insignias that are available, it’s easy to create customizable military rings that are a true representation of your loved one’s military career. You can also add a short message, date, or initials inside the band. The nice part about that is if the ring is ever lost or stolen, it’s easy to tell if it whose it is.

There you have it. Three tips for ordering customized military rings. This is a terrific way to show your support and appreciation for those who serve this country in the Armed Forces.

It takes a special type of person to serve in the United States Military. With all the current deployments and various military campaigns, servicemen and women are serving more time than ever overseas and it can be quite difficult to be separated from their friends and family. One of the best ways to boost morale is to give a great gift. A great place to start your search is with military jewelry.

Necklaces and Pendants

Military jewelry isn’t something new. It’s been around for centuries. Military rings were given out in 1835 to the graduates of the United States Military Academy. This is a tradition that continues today. However, necklaces and pendants are becoming more and more popular, especially with the large number of women that are serving in the military today. The choices in designs, styles, and materials are extensive. You can find beautiful pendants with a religious theme, such as a patron saint. There are necklaces available with a pendant that splits into two pieces – one for a family member and one for the military member. This is a popular choice for couples.

Other necklaces include customized dog tags, which can be worn in addition to the regulation dog tags. With varying styles, including those that are gold or silver plated, these dog tags often have the member’s personal information, but also a short message from the gift giver. Necklaces with the branch emblem are popular and can often be engraved on the back. These are just a few of the great military jewelry gift ideas.

Military Rings

Most of the graduates of military academies in the United States purchase military rings. These rings are often handed down through the generations and become family heirlooms. However, military rings make a great gift to anyone serving in the Armed Forces. These rings are available in both men’s and women’s styles and have several personalization options available. Designs run the gambit, from simplistic, elegant signet rings to those with semi-precious stones on the top. Each side can be engraved with an important symbol or insignia and the inside of the band can be personalized, as well.

Other Military Jewelry

You’ll find a wide selection of other types of military jewelry, too. From earrings and watches to belly button and toe rings, it’s easy to find just the perfect gift for your military loved one. The key is figuring out which style of jewelry is best for the military member and also, which pieces of jewelry can be worn with a military uniform.

In Closing

Military jewelry is a great choice for a gift and several kinds can be personalized to make it extra-special. You can place your order online and have it shipped to almost anywhere in the world that your loved one may be deployed. Most are packaged in a gift box, so you won’t even have to worry about the gift presentation. If you’re looking for a unique military gift idea, military jewelry is a great choice.

There are a number of words that can describe a soldier – fearless, dedicated, determined, proud, and courageous. However, if you ask a soldier to define themselves, they may have a difficult time. It’s just something that they are and the job is done without thought for their own sacrifice. If you want to show your loved one how proud you are of their service, then consider giving one of the many great gifts for soldiers that are available.

Some gifts for soldiers are designed for specific occasions, such as graduations or deployments. Others are perfect anytime you simply want to recognize a soldier’s commitment and sacrifice. For those that are just graduating Basic Training or AIT, consider giving a gift that is personalized to the occasion. You will find many gifts that will allow you to add a personal message, a slogan, or a date. These gifts might include a military ring or other piece of jewelry or clothing.

Before you place an order for a gift, stop and think about what your loved would like. For example, their chosen career path in the Army can give you a good insight into the type of gift your soldier would like. What does their job entail? Perhaps there is a specific gift that would help them perform their duties, such as a wristwatch with different features.

However, there are also gifts for soldiers that proclaim to the world how proud they are to be a part of the United States Army. For example, maybe your soldier would love a flag with the insignia of the Army or of the unit that he or she is assigned to. A personalized license plate holder or desk set can make a great gift. Others may want personalized clothing, such as t-shirts, sweats, jackets, or hats.

When ordering gifts for soldiers online, pay close attention to any personalization details, as you certainly don’t want something spelled incorrectly. You also have to take into consideration how long it will take to have the gift delivered to you. It’s certainly not an option to have it arrive after graduation or after they have deployed. Some items, such as military rings are handmade and will require two to three weeks before they are shipped.

It’s quite easy to order gifts for soldiers online and you’ll love the incredible selection that is available. Choosing the right gift can be difficult, but with a bit of time and some forethought, you’re sure to find a gift that your solider will love, no matter what the occasion might be. There are few jobs that require the commitment and sacrifice as serving in the United States Armed Forces. These men and women work tirelessly to ensure that this great nation remains free. In times of crisis, soldiers deploy all over the world, often for months on end. By recognizing their dedication and service, you show your friends and family members how proud you are of what they have chosen to do.

Officially formed in 1915, the Navy Reserve has maintained a proud heritage and history long before that date. Before becoming officially recognized, Citizen Sailors would raid British commerce ships, patrol the Chesapeake Bay to defend against British invasion, and destroy Confederate ships during the Civil War.

Josephus Daniels and Franklin Roosevelt would ultimately be responsible for the creation of the Navy Reserve Force. One of the first missions of this new force would be to hunt enemy U-boats with biplanes. Five future presidents would serve as part of the Navy Reserve – George W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson, and John F. Kennedy.

By World War II, almost every Navy Reservists would be on active duty. From this time forward, the Navy Reserve would mobilize in huge numbers to respond to various parts of the world. From the Korean War to the Vietnam conflict, the Navy Reserve would expand, but with a greater focus on supporting active duty Navy forces.

Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm would require more than 21,000 Navy Reservists to be called to active duty. There was less of distinction between active duty Navy and Navy Reservists in terms of mission and operations during this time. Many Navy Reservists are deployed in the Persian Gulf and other locations around the world in support of ongoing military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today, 20 percent of the Navy is made up of Reservists. The contribution of these sailors is as vital as ever before. Their missions include everything from preventing conflicts to combat to humanitarian aid and relief. The Navy Reserve is without a doubt one of the reasons why this country is safe and secure today.

If you or a loved one have served in the Navy Reserve, you should consider honoring that service with a Navy ring. There are many styles to choose from, including a signet ring design and one that resembles a class ring. Each side of the Navy ring can be personalized with a unique insignia or emblem. You can even put a symbol underneath a semi-precious stone on the top. Choose from gold, silver, or platinum metal. There are both male and female styles available.

Because you can individualize a Navy ring, it makes a fantastic gift for anyone who has served or is serving in the Navy Reserve. You can have the inside of the band engraved with a short message, date, or initials. Each Navy ring is made when ordered and it takes about two to three weeks for delivery. You can place your order right online and have it shipped almost anywhere in the world.

Ordering is easy and will only take you a few minutes. However, this Navy ring will become a wonderful heirloom for generations to come. It’s one of the best ways to show your appreciation for the service and sacrifice by these Navy Reservists. Make sure that the sailor in your life has a beautiful Navy ring to show how much you care.

The 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron is one of a king. It is the only DOD organization that still flies into hurricanes and tropical storms and it’s been doing so since 1944. What actually started on a dare has grown into a full fledged squadron responsible for tracking, measuring, and reporting on tropical storms and hurricanes.

Equipped with ten WC-130J aircraft, this squadron is stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi at Kessler Air Force Base. The aircraft and crew are part of the 403rd Wing. With a history over fifty years, traced back to the 3rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. However, during this time, the B-17 was the aircraft of choice for weather reconnaissance during World War 11. In September 1945, the 53rd became the first to fly into a hurricane intentionally. It became their primary mission, however, and the name “Hurricane Hunters” seemed very fitting.

For the next several decades, the squadron was deployed around the world. Because there wasn’t satellite communications, the 53rd would become responsible for collecting and transmitted data to weather stations all over the planet. These weather stations would prepare forecasts for the U.S. Weather Bureau and the United States Air Force. Another type of aircraft that was often used was the WB-25 Mitchell. This was a medium sized bomber that ended up with a variety of missions.

It wasn’t until 1947 that the United States Weather Bureau would begin their hurricane warning service. In 1953, all hurricanes would be given the names of women. It was a way for the public to easily track the hurricanes. Several experiments were conducted by the 53rd with the help of the Weather Bureau. One experiment tried to diminish the intensity of a hurricane by spraying the clouds with dry ice particles. Unfortunately, this was not effective.

Once WWII had ended, the 53rd inherited several WB-29 Superfortress aircraft. This was the first aircraft that was designed for the weather service with the letter “W.” This was also the first aircraft that flew above a hurricane at an altitude of 22,000 feet. A special assignment, though, was still to come.

In 1953, the squadron was flying daily into the far north and the children of the crew and other personnel wanted their letters delivered to Santa. The word quickly spread and suddenly there were letters to Santa pouring in from all over the world. The 53rd would be responsible for those letters for years to come.

There were other aircraft that were used by the 53rd over the years. The WB-47 Stratojet would eventually be replaced by the WC-130 Hercules in 1963. After Hurricane Camille hit the Gulf Coast in 1969, Congress wanted the Hurricane Hunters to be closer to the Coast. By 1973, they got their request and the 53rd moved to Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.

In 1975, the Air Force Reserve would activate the 815th Weather Reconnaisance Squadron. Nicknamed the “Storm Trackers,” many combined missions with the 53rd would earn respect throughout the Armed Forces. In 1991, the 53rd would be deactivated due to budget cuts and the entire mission of hurricane hunting would go to the 815th. The combination of tactical airlift missions and storm hunting would prove too much for one squadron, however. The weather squadron brought back the “Hurricane Hunters” and the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron carries on the tradition today.

If you or a loved one have served with the 53rd or the 815th, then you should celebrate that services with one of the many styles of Air Force rings. You can easily customize an Air Force ring with one of the hundreds of different insignia, symbols, and emblems that are available. In addition, you can have the inside of the band engraved with a personal message.

The 174th Fighter Wing was originally formed as the 138th Fighter Squadron on October 28, 1947. It was the first Air National Guard Unit in New York State after World War II. P-47D Thunderbolts were the first aircraft assigned at Hancock Field, which once was a base for the Army Air Force.

The first jet fighters arrived in 1950, which were the F-84B Thunderjets. It didn’t take long for this base to become the main jet fighter training base for the state of New York. In 1957, the 138th Fighter Squadron was assigned to Tactical Air Command when the F-86H Sabres arrived. This would begin what become a long tradition of providing close air support as their primary mission.

President John F. Kennedy mobilized the 138th Fighter Squadron in 1961 and it was under the control of the 102nd Tactical Fighter Wing. During the Berlin Crisis, the unit was called to active duty. The unit was deployed to Platsbourg-Bourscheid Air Base for almost two years. Upon returning to the United States, the unit would be renamed the 174th Tactical Fighter Group.

Over the next two decades, the 174th Tactical Fighter Group would be called to active duty again. It was sent to Cannon AFB in New Mexico for the Pueblo Crisis. In 1979, the 174th would change from a flying group to a wing. It would have a new aircraft, too: the A-10A Thunderbolt II. In 1988, the first F-16A Fighting Falcon would arrive. This 174th would become the testing grounds for F-16A with a 30mm gun pod. The role of close air support was still its main mission. The year the F-16As arrived, the unit would receive the Air Force’s Outstanding Maintenance Squadron Award.

In 1991, the 174th would deploy in support of Desert Storm, with 516 members. During Operation Desert Storm, the 174th was one of only two Air National Guard units that flew combat missions. The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, along with the device for valor was awarded upon the unit’s return.

In 1992, the unit would get its current designation as the 174th Fighter Wing. Two deployments to Incirlik, Turkey would come between 1995 and 1997. These deployments were in support of Operation Northern Watch and Operation Provide Comfort II. The F-16As were also upgraded to F-16Cs, known as the Fighting Falcon. The F-16C would depart Hancock Field for the last time in 2010, when the 174th Fighter Wing would take on the MQ-9 Reaper, which is an unmanned combat aircraft.

If you or someone you know has served with the 174th Fighter Wing, consider ordering an Air Force ring as a reminder of the service and sacrifice necessary to make this Fighter Wing so successful. The 174th has been awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award 4 times, showing the high level of commitment in this unit. There is no better way to recognize this dedication than with one of the many styles of Air Force rings. Each Air Force ring can be personalized and shipped to almost anywhere in the world.

The history of the Special Forces challenge coin is quite interesting, although it doesn’t date back as far as the Special Forces rings. The first military rings were presented to the 1835 graduating of the United States Military Academy. Ever since that time, the military ring has become an important part of military life as a visual reminder to the service and sacrifice of soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen.

Challenge coins are somewhat different. A story goes that the first challenge coin appeared in the 1940’s. The Lodge Act allowed non-citizens to join the Army and there was such an influx of different nationalities into the 10th Special Forces Group, that a coin was designed to prove that many of these non-English speaking soldiers were indeed a part of the 10th SFG. In 1969, Colonel Vernon E. Greene had a Special Forces challenge coin designed for a fundraiser. The front of the coin featured a Trojan Horse. The money would go towards a German wood carving of a Special Forces Trooper. This statue is now housing in a climate and temperature controlled environment and it considered a prized possession of the United States Army.

Since these two instances of challenge coins, hundreds of other designs have emerged. Nearly every military unit has a challenge coin, with the designs as unique as the missions. Challenge coins have a “special” use, too. Many a solider has had to buy rounds for his fellow men. The coin is slapped down on a table in a bar. The last soldier to get his coin out and on the table has to buy a round for all his friends. It’s a tradition that is quite popular today and just adds to the camaraderie of the military.

These challenge coins are a great collector’s item, but for something a bit more personal, you should look towards a military ring. The level of personalization on these rings is truly amazing. From the choice of precious metals, such as gold, silver, or Valedium, to the hundreds of insignia and emblems for the sides, military rings are as unique as the individual. Many of these rings are ordered while in the various military academies. Others are used to recognize service in a specialized unit or military campaign. The inside of these rings can be personalized, too, with a short inscription, date, or initials.

Military rings, such as those representing Special Forces, are an item of pride for these elite Army members. Some of these pieces of military jewelry are only worn for special occasions and ceremonies. Other military members wear these rings every day. Because these rings are so easy to order, many family members surprise their loved ones with a specially designed military ring. You can order right on the internet and it only takes a few minutes. You can have these rings shipped almost anywhere in the world. If you’re looking for a truly unique and special gift for your military friend or family member, then consider a military ring.

For over 200 years, the United States Marine Band has been part of the happenings that have shaped the country. In 1798, Congress established the Marine Band and it’s the oldest continuously active musical organization in the country. Their mission is very unique – to provide music for the President of the United States. As the Marine Band moves into its third century, the tradition of excellence continues. Earning the title of “The President’s Own” from Thomas Jefferson, it’s the only musical organization that is charged with performing for the President. This is the music of America and this band performs in the White House, for the public, and on national tours.

The original Marine Band had 32 drummers and fifers. These men were deployed on ships or sent to Marine posts, but some were to remain in Philadelphia to provide music for government leaders. The first concert occurred in 1800 in Washington DC, near the spot where the Lincoln Memorial would eventually stand. In 1801, the Band performed at the White House for President John Adams on New Year’s Day. A few months later, the Marine Band performed for President Jefferson’s inauguration and for every subsequent inauguration afterwards.

The first time the Marine Band played “Hail to the Chief” was in 1829 to honor President Andrew Jackson. These musicians performed when the first cornerstone was laid for the Washington Monument in 1848. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln gave his now famous Gettysburg Address, followed by a performance by the Band.

In 1880, John Philip Sousa would become the 17th Leader of the Marine Band at the age of 25. For the next 12 years, the Marine Band would premier many of this composer’s most famous marches, as well as the first phonograph recordings. In 1886, the Marine Band led President Cleveland to New York Harbor for the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty.

In 1922, the Marine Band would be heard for the first time on radio and it would continue to be highlighted on a weekly program for the next 24 years. In 1943, Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt would enjoy a special wartime concert at the White House. The two leaders sang the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” the Band played at the conclusion of the concert, even though it was pouring down rain.In 1963, the Marine Band led the funeral procession of President Kennedy, at the request of his wife.

In 1973, the first female member of the Marine Band was enlisted. The first overseas concert was done in the Netherlands in 1985. Just a couple of years later, the band would perform in five different cities in the former Soviet Union. This is the only military band to tour in the USSR before it was transformed into independent states.

Members of the Marine Band must audition. The selection process, as well as the audition, is exceptionally difficult and only the best of the best will be offered a spot with this prestigious organization. One of the best ways to recognize this honor is with one of the many styles of Marine Corps Band rings. Elegantly designed and very personalized, Marine Band rings are sure to be an item of pride to the Band members. You can easily order these United States Marine Band rings online and present it to your friend or loved one who will where it with honor and pride.

The first Navy football game took place in 1879. Since that time, the familiar blue and gold football uniforms have helped created one of the most familiar traditions in the history of college athletics. However, these Navy football players aren’t just scoring on the gridiron, they are also some of the finest acadamians in the country, too. This unique combination of athletics and academics ensures that only the best of the best will graduate from the United States Naval Academy and become the Navy’s finest.

All of the students at the Naval Academy will choose one of 43 different majors that focus on 19 fields of study. In order to compete in one of the many athletic programs, midshipmen must meet the stringent NCAA eligibility requirements, including those requirements that deal with academic progress. If the eligibility requirements are not met, there could be sanctions against the entire team, including fines and penalties.

The familiar blue and gold colors of Navy athletics were adopted back in 1892. The Naval Academy Class of 1890 first used these colors and within two years, the Athletic Association conferred with the Cadets to adopt these colors as the now familiar Academy colors. The mascot has a different history. In 1893, a goat known as “El Cid” (The Chief) was used as the Navy athletic teams’ mascot.

This goat is credited with helping the Navy football team beat their long time rival, the Army, that year. However, there are other animals that have served as the team mascots. These include a dog, a carrier pigeon, and two cats. In 1904, goats became the permanent mascot for all of the Navy athletic teams. There are three goats that currently serve as mascots: Bill XXXII, XXXIII, and XXXIV. Fifteen goathandlers take care of these mascots. Those goathandlers are five midshipmen that are chosen from each class of first, second, and third year students. There’s a lot of training that goes with becoming a goathandler and a bit of respect, as well!

There are a few other traditions that always accompany the Navy Football team. For example, the “E” Bell rings whenever Navy beats Army in any of the three seasons of sports. This bell is from the bridge of USS Enterprise, a famed World War II aircraft carrier. It’s been a tradition since 1950. The Gokokuji Bell is a replica of a bell that was brought to the United States by Commodore Matthew Perry in 1854. The original bell, which was donated to the Academy by his widow, was returned to Okinawa in 1987. This bell is also rung each time the team scores a football victory over their Army rivals. This bell sits in front of Bancroft Hall in Annapolis.

Midshipmen, also called Mids, is what the Navy sports teams are called. The members of the various varsity teams who earn a varsity letter also receive an “N-Star” if they are part of a team that beats an Army team in one of the many “Star” competitions. In recent years, the Navy has certainly been a dominate force against the Army’s West Point teams. The Navy has won the N-Star Competition for the last twelve years.

One of the best ways to recognize a Navy football team member is with Navy football rings. You can easily design a Navy football ring online and have it shipped directly to the cadet at Annapolis. Imagine their surprise when their Navy football ring arrives!

The Navy SEALs were established in 1962 by President Kennedy. This elite, small maritime force was created for unconventional warfare. The members of the SEALs team are trained to operate in all environments, which is where the name of the unit comes from – Sea, Air, and Land. From the humid jungles to scorching deserts, SEALs take advantage of the fact that the over half of the world’s population is within a mile of a river or ocean. SEALs can infiltrate heavy defended areas when necessary to accomplish their mission, such as the shallow water of the Persian Gulf Coastline.

Part of the history of the U.S. Navy SEALs can be linked to the very first group of Naval Constructions Battalions in 1943. Their missions were to clean the beaches of obstacles so that amphibious landings could occur with less problems. The Naval Combat Demolition Units, also known as NCDUs came next and they distinguished themselves in Normandy with their Underwater Demolition Teams or UDTs. These new units had action in just about every corner of the Pacific during the Second World War When the SEALs were created, it was for counter-guerilla warfare and other clandestine operations. The emphasis was put on maritime operations. There were two teams initially, one on the West Coast and one on the East Coast. During the Vietnam War, these impressive units complied an unmatched record of success.

Since Vietnam ended, the SEALs have had to adapt to an every-changing world. Increased operation tasking has led to an increase in the number of SEAL units and their capabilities. SEAL Deliver Vehicle Teams have been created, which has allowed this important Naval unit with additional amphibious support.Seal Delivery Teams (SDV) are considered part of the elite combat unit of Naval Special Warfare. These teams are highly trained and organized. They are equipped for unconventional warfare, special operations, and foreign internal defense. Because of the need for increased special operations throughout the world, Navy SEALS must continuously train for all types of combat situations.

SEAL training is mentally and physically exhausting. Basic Underwater Demotion/SEAL or BUD/S training is held in Coronado, CA. It’s a six month course that focuses on physical conditioning, diving physics, small boat handling, basic diving techniques, land warfare, weapons, communications, demolitions, and reconnaissance. The course is broken up into six distinct phases: Indoctrination, Basic Conditioning, Diving, Land Warfare, Basic Parachute Training. At the end, the graduates will receive their Naval Special Warfare Classification.

SEALs have a long proud tradition and a great deal of respect in the Armed Forces. They fulfill a very special role in today’s military operations. However, the training and selection process is very difficult. The dropout rate for the training is very high and there have actually been some classes that no recruit completed. It’s not just the physical requirements of the course, either. The sheer mental strength of these “warriors” is unmatched. Those who make it through and proudly wear the title of a Navy SEAL often order a Navy SEAL ring to show their pride. You can find these Navy SEAL rings online and create a stunning reminder of their sacrifice and service.

The Army Field Officer or Headquarters Clerk, as well as the Pay Clerk, both preceded the Army Warrant Officer. The grade and rank of Warrant Officer was introduced to the Army in 1918. The Act that established this rank also established the Army Mine Planter Service, which was part of the Costal Artillery Corps. The Warrant Officers were to serve as masters, mates, and engineers on of the vessels. Initially, there were three pay grades authorized. The Warrant Officer rank and grade was given to Field Clerks and Pay Clerks so they would be full members of the military.

In 1941, the Army decided to redefine the position of the Warrant Officer. There were two grades created, a junior grade and a Chief grade. By 1942, Warrant Officers were in forty different occupational areas. The grade of Flight Officer was created to the Army Air Force in 1942, as well.

Most of the first flight officers that graduated from the many Army Air Force flight training programs were commissioned as Second Lieutenants, but the remainder were given an appointment as a Flight Officer. Once the Warrant Officers had some flying time under their belts, many were commissioned as lieutenants.

By November of 1942, the Warrant Officer rank order was finally determined as being above an enlisted grade, but lower than all commissioned officers. In 1949, grades of W-3 and W-4 were added. The pay grade of W-5 wasn’t added until 1991.

Today, the Army Warrant Officer fills a number of different roles – a combat leader, a technical expert, an advisor, and a trainer. One of the reasons why Warrant Officers are so valuable and effective in the Army is because they can fulfill these different roles. Over 45 occupational specialties have Warrant Officers and they serve from the section level to the upper echelons of the Army. Many command vessels and aircraft. Others are in charge of smaller units and specialized teams. In a change from traditional titles, Army Warrant Officers are addressed as Mister or the female equivalent.

There are now two basic types of Warrant Officers in the Army – aviators and technicians. In order to qualify as an applicant for technicians, the soldier must have a rank of E-5 or Sergeant. The aviators must meet high standards for aptitude and medical requirements. Unlike most of the other aviation programs in the Armed Forces, the Army Warrant Officer aviation program does not require a college degree, but it is recommended.

There are Warrant Officers in other branches of the United States Military. While this designation is not as common as it once was, there is no doubt that these military members fulfill a very specific, technical role in the Armed Forces. For those that accept this appointment, there is a great deal of pride and honor that comes with this special rank. One of the best ways to recognize their service and dedication is with one of the many styles of Warrant Officer rings. The unique design and beautiful craftsmanship are the perfect visual reminder of this special area of the United States Military.

The Military Police have a long and honored history in the United States Armed Forces. Often called MPs in the Air Force and Army and Shore Patrol in the Navy, these men and women enforce the laws and regulations regarding military order and discipline.

Since the Continental Army created a military police unit in 1778, there have always been personnel assigned to help carry out military police functions as needed. These functions include capturing or deterring deserters, custody and transport of prisoners, and investigating other criminal activities, just to name a few. From 1783 to 1861, the United States Army didn’t have a specialized unit for these activities, but instead, simply assigned personnel as needed and rotated them through the ranks.

During the Civil War, the incredible numbers of soldiers on both sides were often unruly, both in the field and in civilian areas. A system of Provost Marshals was created by both the Union and the Confederate Armies to deal with the need for police forces. The Union Army established a permanent police force whose main duties were to prevent riots, looting, desertion, and violence against civilians. Towards the end of the War, the Provost Marshal Department was established. This new military department was given the task of controlling the local governments in the Southern states.

By World War 1, the Military Police Corps was temporarily created. The soldiers that were assigned wore the “MP” armbands that so many associate with this area of the military. Their primary duties included guarding prisoners, rounding up deserters and draft dodgers, as well as overseeing the prisoner of war camps found in the United States. During World War II, the Military Police Corp became a permanent unit in the United States Army. Over 210,000 personnel, both of enlisted and officer ranks, served as Military Police. For every major conflict from that time forward, including Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Military Police have held an important role in all branches of the Armed Forces.

Today, Military Police enforce military law under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the Articles of War. The offenses can range from disobedience to mutiny and everything in between. What once was established to enforce discipline among the ranks, now maintains justice in the military.

Military members who are charged with crimes against civilians are tried in civilian courts. However, military members who are charged with crimes against other military members or against the United States government are tried in a military court. Those found guilty and sentenced to incarceration are housed in military or federal prisons.

Military Police have specialized units that perform certain functions, such as investigations, security for dignitaries, and facility security enforcement. All military police now attend specialized training and are considered some of the best trained law enforcement in the country.

If you’re looking for a way to recognize the service and dedication of someone who serves in a Military Police unit, then consider giving them a military police ring. You won’t find a better gift to say thank you than one of the many styles of Military Police rings.

The military stands on ceremony and that is never more evident than when an Honor Guard is present. The United States Air Force Honor Guard was activated in September of 1948 under the command of two officers with 98 enlisted men under them. It was assigned to the Air Police Squadron until 1972, when it became its own separate unit.

Each Air Force Base has its own Base Honor Guard, with members selected from different units stationed on the base. The Air Force also has an Honor Guard unit that is permanently assigned to Bolling AFB in Washington, D.C. This is a three year long assignment and Air Force members stationed around the world apply to be part of this elite unit. Members of this unit are often referred to as Ceremonial Guardsman.

The Air Force has used the Base Honor Guard for honors at military funerals since 1972; however, it wasn’t until 1995 that Air Force establish the Protocol, Honors, and Ceremonies course to ensure that all he funeral honors ceremony are performed the same each time. This course provided much needed guidance on everything the Honor Guard is tasked to do, including military funeral procedures and the uniform required. It is still used today and many times, the Honor Guard may go to Washington, D.C. for formal training at Bolling AFB. In some cases, a trainer from Bolling may be sent to provide the training.

In 2000, the Natural Defense Authorization Act was implemented, which provides for all veterans to receive military funeral honors. These honors include the folding of the United States flag and the presentation of this flag to the veteran’s next living relative. “Taps” is also performed by a member of the Base Honor Guard. Any service member who was honorably and had at least six months serviced time is considered an eligible veteran. Veterans’ funeral honors are performed by two or three members of the Base Honor Guard.

Retired members of the Air Force who completed 20 years or more are entitled to the “Standard Honors” for a military funeral. This ceremony involves six pallbearers, a six man flag fold, the playing of ‘Taps,” and the “21 gun salute.” The flag is presented to the next-of-kin and three of the shell cases from the rifle salute may also be presented.

Active-duty members receive a Full Honors Ceremony. This ceremony is performed by twenty Honor Guard members. There are six pallbearers, four color guard members, one bugler, seven members of the firing party, one NCO in charge of firing party, and one officer in charge of the entire detail. A flyover may be authorized if the fallen service member was on flying status. This formation is often called the “Missing Man” formation.

The Air Force Honor Guard recognizes the service and sacrifice of fallen Air Force members and veterans in a very solemn and dignified manner. It’s a last tribute and it means a great deal to family and friends. For those that are tasked with this honorable detail, an Air Force Honor Guard ring is a great way to say thank you for their volunteer service.

Depending on who you talk to, there is only one unit that qualifies as the United States Special Forces. This would be the United States Army Green Berets. This highly trained, specialized group of soldiers is called upon when traditional means of military action simply won’t get the job done. The first Green Beret designation occurred in 1953, but it wasn’t fully authorized until President Kennedy acknowledged this “mark of distinction” in 1961.

Since then, the Green Berets have always been considered to be a very elite group of soldiers. They are considered a “cut above” the traditional solder, enduring conditions and scenarios that many others cannot. These are some of the most self-reliant, resilient soldiers that the United States military has and they are held in high regard.

If you or a loved one has had the distinct honor of serving this country as a Green Beret, then it’s time to recognize that service with a Special Forces ring. Of course, there are traditional Army rings available, but when you serve in the Green Berets, a simply Army ring won’t suffice. Special Forces rings are a visual representation of the endless hours of training, incredible fortitude, and unbelievable responsibility that comes with being a Green Beret. This unit requires a great deal from their soldiers, including the highest level of integrity, skills, and sacrifice. This is why a traditional Army ring simply is not enough.

When searching for Special Forces rings, you should take care to find a company that will help you design a ring that truly expresses the core values of this unit. The Special Forces crest is held in very high regard and is often chosen for the top of the ring. This engraved crest can be done in color or simply left in the beautiful tones of the precious metal the ring is made of. The sides of a Special Forces ring often contain a symbol or emblem of a specific military campaign the Green Beret were part of or even an insignia that few would understand.

Special Forces rings can be engraved inside the band with a two to three word phrase, initials, or a date. Not only does this add a personalized element to the ring, but it also makes it easier to identify should the ring become lost or stolen. These rings are treasured and passed onto to children and grandchildren as mementos of their relative’s honor and sacrifice.

You can order Special Forces rings and Green Beret rings online and it only takes a few minutes. Each step of the ordering process is quite simple. Once your order is placed, it will take between two and three weeks for you to receive your ring. You can also have the ring shipped anywhere in the world, such as to one of the many locations where Special Forces are currently deployed.

Special Forces rings are a unique and individualized way to recognize the honor, dedication, and sacrifice of these elite military members.

One of the most rewarding events in someone’s life is retirement. You want to celebrate this transition from the working world into retirement with the right gifts. It’s a time to recognize years of service and dedication. Well considered military retirement gifts are the perfect way to do so. Choosing the right gift will require some thought and below, you’ll find some great tips and ideas.

Commemorative Retirement Gifts

You’ll find that some of the commemorative gifts are also some of the best received. Consider a plaque that contains the crest of the branch of military the retiree served in, along with their name and rank, and dates of service. This type of personalized gift will surely command a place of honor in their home or office. Display cases are also a great gift idea. You can place mementos of their service inside, such as patches, pictures, and medals. Many times, you can collaborate with others to find the perfect items to place inside. This type of display case is one of the best military retirement gifts you can give.

Military Clothing Gifts

How many times have you seen a hat or a jacket with an emblem or insignia from a military branch or a specialized unit? These are fantastic military retirement gifts and can serve as a reminder of the years of service and sacrifice. Consider embroidering the retiree’s name and rank on the pocket of a jacket or a special slogan of their unit on a hat. You may also consider belts, ties, and bandanas. Use your imagination for these types of gifts and chances are that your gift will be one of the favorites from the party!

Military Jewelry

You’ve probably attended a retirement party where a watch was given as a gift. It’s a testament to the time spent serving this country and the time that is ahead to enjoy the rest of their years, too. Consider either a beautiful pocket watch or a wrist watch. Both can be engraved on the back with a personal message. The face of the watch might contain a full color crest or emblem of the military branch.

If a watch isn’t quite what you had in mind, then consider a military ring. Completely personalized to the retiree, it’s an elegant and beautiful way to commemorate their service. You can choose the emblems for the sides, as well as for under the stone on top. The inside of the ring can be personalized with the name and rank of the retiree or perhaps their dates of service. These rings are sure to become treasured family heirlooms.

In Closing

When it comes to military retirement gifts, you’ll have a lot of choices. Many are personalized, which lets the retiree know that you did more than just pick up a gift at the local store. You took the time to make sure your gift was something truly special. Show your gratitude and appreciation for those whose career have truly made a difference in the Armed Forces.

The history of military rings is quite extensive, with the first rings given to graduates of the United States Military Academy in 1835. These pieces of military jewelry become family heirlooms that are passed onto future generations, too.

Which style of ring will suit you or your loved one the best? For some, it’s the ultimate ring, made of gold or silver, with a semi-precious stone on top. You can have an emblem engraved in the stone. It might be the branch of service, a specialized unit, or any number of other insignias and emblems. The sides are personalized to your liking, perhaps with a flag, service dates, or a specific military campaign. The inside of ring may be engraved with the military member’s initials, an important date, or the member’s full name. This formal ring is best suited for important occasions, such as when a dress uniform is required.

The second style of ring is more subdued and does not have a semi-precious stone on top. Instead, there is an emblem of your choice on top, fully colored and beautifully designed. The sides of the ring may be personalized as above. Choose gold, silver, or validium, the latter of which is strongest and most resistant to scratching. This is the perfect ring for someone to wear in the field.

As you can see, there are a number of different types of military jewelry available. You simply need to decide which type will best suit your or your military loved one!

Throughout history gold has been used to enhance beauty and display wealth.
Gold military rings enhance skin tones and looks good on everyone.
Formerly gold jewelry was worn only by royalty and noblemen as an exhibit of their wealth and power.
In more recent times it has become accessible to the common man
through the technologies of alloys and plating.
Although the value of gold rises and falls over the short term,
its limited quantity in the world assures that its value will continue to go up over the long term

Gold military rings have been kept as an investment for centuries for members of the armed forces worldwide. Women have hidden away their gold jewelry in the event of their husbands’ demise or inability to provide.
Wealthy investors have collected gold, melted it into bars and secreted it in strongholds until the price rose.

Gold jewelry’s value is determined by a couple factors. The first is the skill and reputation of the designer.
The second is the actual amount of gold used in creating military rings. Gold is a very soft metal. If pure gold is used in jewelry, it would dent and scratch very easily during the course of a normal day of wear. Therefore, gold is usually mixed with harder metals before being fashioned into jewelry. The percentage of contained gold is stamped on all jewelry containing real gold. It is called a karat weight and is signified by the numbers 10K, 12K, 14K, 18K and 24K, with 24K being pure gold and the most expensive. In the United States it is important to note that any of these designations can be labeled, “solid gold,” as long as it is an alloy and not a gold-plated item. In other words, “solid gold” does not equate to “pure gold.”

Gold Military Rings

Colored gold is made by mixing gold with other metals. White gold is derived from gold mixed with palladium or nickel. Rose gold is made by adding copper to gold. A greenish tint can be obtained by adding white silver. Attractive braids and other intricate and beautiful patterns are achieved by using several tints in one piece of jewelry.

Gold plating is the layering of gold over another metal. This gives the appearance of expensive gold jewelry without the expense. It’s real gold, but not solid; the gold doesn’t go all the way through, so it costs less. The biggest problem with gold plating is that it doesn’t last. With use the gold rubs away exposing the less valuable and less attractive base metal. It is often purposefully and deceptively sold as solid gold, so be sure not to get duped!

Gold jewelry runs the gamut between small, delicate and reasonably priced to big, elaborate and impossibly expensive. Find an affordable spot in that range and invest in some beautiful and valuable gold military rings. It will provide beauty when worn and increase in value at the same time plus you will create a master piece for a family heirloom.

The U.S. Army is the world’s strongest military force, bar none.
Hundreds of thousands of men and women currently serve in this powerful branch of the military.

Lets not forget U.S. Army

Although many soldiers are stationed within the U.S., many others are currently deployed in dangerous combat zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
The lives of these soldiers are on the line every day.
And even the active-duty soldiers, members of the National Guard and Reservists that are stationed within the United States could be sent into battle on very short notice, putting them at risk, too.

Let’s not forget about the men and women who served in the U.S. Army in the past, either.
When their time in the service was up, these Army veterans and retirees received honorable discharges for good reason, having serving honorably and with distinction in war and peace.

Army jewelry lets us honor our soldiers

Army jewelry lets us honor our soldiers, and many want to wear something more attractive to connect them to the Army than just the standard-issue dog tags that identify them.
Army men and women love wearing Army jewelry because it lets them show their pride in themselves, their buddies and their units.
But they love it even more when their family and friends give them Army jewelry, because these gifts show that their service is honored by the people they care for.

All of our soldiers are well trained and dedicated to protecting our freedom at home and abroad.
They have a unique combination of physical strength, mental toughness and superb equipment.
And above all, they have a sense of purpose.
When called upon, they consistently respond with the speed, courage and discipline we associate with the U.S. Army. Army jewelry, with its beautiful but powerful appearance, perfectly captures the spirit of our soldiers.

No matter when or where a soldier has served, Army rings, tie tacks, lapel pins, necklaces, pendants, watches, cuff links and other pieces of Army jewelry can commemorate his or her service.
Many types of Army jewelry can be personalized with a soldier’s name, initials, dates of service or other details.

Army jewelry can incorporate a wide assortment of Army:

emblems

logos

insignia

slogans.

The design of Army jewelry can reflect a man or woman’s service in the Army in a general way, or it can show membership in a specific battalion, regiment, division or other Army unit. Army jewelry can also indicate a man or woman’s service in a specific war or armed conflict, including deployment in Iran, Afghanistan, Vietnam and other combat theaters.

Some pieces of Army jewelry, especially Army rings, tie tacks, lapel pins, cuff links, pendants, and necklaces, are made of gold or sterling silver.
Many include precious or semi-precious gems in their designs, while others are brightly colored with gorgeous enamels.
But no matter what Army jewelry is made of or how it is designed, Army jewelry is a powerful symbol of a soldier’s service.

Plaques can vary in sizes and shapes and can be made of all types of woods
and other materials but in my opinion it’s always best to use a hardwood
as they are long lasting and when lacquered look fantastic. Marine plaques just like
any other military plaques offer the purchaser a excellent range in
terms of images and design.

A very popular on is the marine plaque in the shape of a heart
with the marine sword carefully place in the shape of an x behind it.

Military Plaques for Navy

The Navy plaque can be designed to reveal the name of a carrier you sailed in,
what rank you achieved throughout your career, whether you were a Navy
Officer or a Seabee the choices are endless. Details of your deployments can be engraved on the plaque also.

Military Plaques for Army

The Army which boasts of the largest department in the armed forces have probable also the largest selection of images to choose from. The unit, brigade and the battalion crests are very common on military plaques as is the Department of the Army insignia. Couple any of these with a campaign crest like Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom and you can create a plaque that will surely double as a treasured family heirloom. Imagine the pride that an item like this will instil in the heart of a young man or woman.

Military Plaques for Air Force

Flying high in the fastest aircraft on the planet having to make split second decision requires tremendous training and skill. Couple any unit crest with a campaign crest or a family coat of arms and you will have something that will take pride of place in any room in your home. Take the desert storm insignia with the name rank and the dates of deployment engraved underneath it on a Walnut plaque and you can design a masterpiece.

Military Plaques for Coast Guard

The United States Coast Guard protects our shores and waterways from the perils of the undesirables twenty four hours a day throughout the year. For this we thank them and have designed a plaque in recognition of their bravery and unselfish attitude that we have observed since the day they were formed. The military plaques that we refer to in this posting are mostly the ones where you can engrave the details of the service member.

We also carry the embroideries which can have the family “Coat of Arms” embroidered in gold or silver thread and then framed in a frame of your choice.

There is never much time to dwell on the mundane or trivial aspects that many others with a less active existence seem to have time for. No a soldier must be alert at all times and be ready when called upon to act in the best interest of himself, colleagues and country.

But like the rest of us they have their special occasions through out the year like birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and promotions that they like to be remembered for and marked.
